Attwood Marshall Lawyers supports campaign to increase rate of organ donations

Organ donation is an emotive issue in the community, however it is an issue that every family should discuss amongst themselves.  In an effort to help to spread the word in relation to the importance of organ donation Attwood Marshall Lawyers suggests to all their clients to address this issue to save further heartache when a loved one passes.

Organ donation is a critical issue in conjunction with having your Will and Estate Planning in order.  In a recent article in the Gold Coast Sun newspaper it was noted that at the end of the month Donate Life Week 2013 is being held to promote organ and tissue donation across Australia.  From February 24 to March 3 the Organ and Tissue Authority as part of the Australian Government’s National Reform Agenda, is campaigning to increase organ and tissue donation rates.

Organ and tissue donation can transform the lives of up to 10 people and significantly improve the lives of many more. Many Australians do not know that less than 2% of people will die in hospital in the specific circumstances where organ donation is even possible, although many more people can become tissue donors.

To make your wish count you need to register on the Australian Organ Donor Register and most importantly share your wish with your family and close friends.  More information:
