Prior to joining Attwood Marshall Lawyers, Jeremy was employed for six years by a barrister at the Inns of Court in Brisbane, wherein he gained invaluable experience at the “coalface” of compensation law litigation. While working full time – often participating in five to ten conferences or mediations per week and witnessing multiple trials a year – Jeremy undertook his law degree at Bond University, from which he graduated with Honours, Deans List accreditation and various subject prizes.
Following his admission as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2008, Jeremy joined Attwood Marshall Lawyers' expert compensation law team and currently has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. He thoroughly enjoys working for a firm that is passionate about providing exceptional legal service and going the extra mile for those in need of assistance.
He finds his work truly rewarding and considers his relationship with each client of paramount importance. Knowing he has genuinely made a positive impact in their lives and guided them out of crisis and back to a point of stability and closure means everything to him.
While he predominantly acts in Queensland compensation law claims, Jeremy is qualified in both QLD and NSW compensation law, and staunchly represents clients on both sides of the border. Jeremy has litigated claims in the District Court and Supreme Court in both states, as well as the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal.
Jeremy’s substantial experience and skill set in compensation law enables him to fight passionately for injured or ill people to ensure they receive the best possible result. Jeremy is adept at dealing with complex legal issues and has developed a reputation for finding a way to win the most difficult of compensation cases – often in the face of overwhelming odds against large and highly profitable insurance companies.
He particularly excels in moderate to catastrophic claims, but strives to assist anyone in need – no matter the size or type of claim.
Jeremy regularly updates his knowledge through further study and Personal Injury courses to ensure that he remains at the forefront of the industry. He particularly enjoys training and mentoring Attwood Marshall Lawyers’ other lawyers, paralegals, staff and the wider community, and strives to live up to firm’s intent every day – “to help people and change their lives for the better”.
