Abuse claims are made against the individual, group, entity, or institution that perpetrated the abuse. Abuse claims are commonly made against individuals (e.g. a priest, employer, parent, relative, foster parent, family member, schoolteacher, sports coach, or other member of the public) and/or the entity or institution they represented

All states and territories in Australia have removed time limits for child sex abuse cases. Some states have also extended this to other forms of abuse.
