We are excited to welcome Property and Commercial Lawyer Aimee Turner to Attwood Marshall Lawyers, announces Practice Director Jeff Garrett.
Meet Aimee Turner
Aimee grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. During her youth, she often holidayed in Europe with her family seeking locations that would offer plenty of sunshine and warmth, something Scotland often lacked. After travelling to Australia on holiday, Aimee and her family discovered the beautiful lifestyle and weather that Australia has to offer and made a family decision to move here in 2009. Australia is now considered home, and Aimee intends to keep it that way!
Aimee chose to pursue a career in law after developing an interest in property and commercial law during her time at university and working at a law firm. Aimee enjoys practising Property and Commercial Law as it presents a wide variety of matters that can draw on a range of skills, from research to negotiating and dispute resolution. Aimee has found that property law is an area that many people overlook, and often clients don’t realise the value of seeking advice from an experienced property lawyer, as opposed to going it alone when buying or selling real estate or putting their trust in a “cheap conveyancer” who lacks the same level of understanding and service.
Aimee holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. She was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland in July 2020.
Despite being a transactional area of law, every property and commercial law matter still proves to be different and working in this area of law can be extremely rewarding. Aimee describes her work as technically challenging, meaning that no two days and no two transactions are the same. Aimee finds her work rewarding and is driven to identify the needs of her clients, working with them to ensure they can achieve their desired outcomes.
When Aimee is not working, you can find her spending quality time with her family and friends, enjoying downtime at the beach, and staying fit.
Aimee can assist with all property and commercial matters, including:
- Residential Conveyancing
- Commercial Conveyancing
- Off-the-plan purchases
- Loans and securities
- Business sales and purchases
- Retail and commercial leasing
- Buying and selling businesses
- Franchising
- Business and commercial transactions
- All general property transactions
In her role at Attwood Marshall Lawyers, Aimee hopes to continue developing her ability to provide appropriate and concise legal solutions for any property and commercial query with which she is presented. Additionally, she hopes to grow professionally and continue developing her networking skills.
