Attwood Marshall Lawyers welcomes Property and Commercial Lawyer Alexandra Hughes to the firm

News

We’re pleased to welcome property and commercial lawyer Alexandra Hughes to the firm as our property team continues to expand to meet the growing demand in this sector, announces Attwood Marshall Lawyers Legal Practice Director Jeff Garrett.

Meet Alexandra Hughes

Alexandra grew up on the Gold Coast and is a “true local”, taking advantage of all that the Gold Coast lifestyle has to offer. You can find Alexandra swimming at Kirra or walking along Currumbin Beach with a coffee in hand when she’s not diligently working and helping her clients achieve their property and commercial goals.

Alexandra has experience across a diverse range of legal fields, however, through her work experience, she has developed a passion for property and commercial related matters and now practices exclusively in this field. Alexandra has a ‘blue blood’ legal pedigree, having worked for her mother, Gina Hughes, an experienced and respected lawyer on the Gold Coast for over eight years. She completed her Law Degree at Bond University in record time and graduated at the age of 22. She was admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court in 2018.

As the first solicitor in Queensland to effect a part-tenancy land transfer electronically on the PEXA platform for e-conveyancing, Alexandra is passionate about delivering conveyancing services electronically. As a PEXA-certified law firm, Alexandra can perform e-conveyancing and utilise the most advanced technology available to the legal profession with Attwood Marshall Lawyers to ensure property transactions proceed smoothly and settlements happen on time.

She is a motivated lawyer and always strives to complete client transactions in the most efficient and hassle-free manner, minimising paperwork, and any stress for her clients.

Alexandra values availability and ensures she provides the best possible client communication and experience at every stage of their matter.

“We are very pleased to have Alex come on board to help the team. The property market has been on fire in recent times and her expertise and knowledge is a welcome addition to our services. Buying and selling property (moving house) is one of the top 3 stressors in people’s lives, and yet many people think conveyancing is ‘just paperwork’. Nothing could be further from the truth! Buying a property is quite often the biggest investment people make in their lives and particularly if it is your home. It is very important to get the right legal advice and have a lawyer acting for you that knows what they are doing. We take these issues very seriously here at Attwood Marshall Lawyers – and we know Alex will fit in perfectly.”

Alexandra can assist with all aspects of property and commercial law including:

  • Residential conveyancing when buying or selling property
  • Commercial conveyancing
  • Off-the-plan purchases
  • Body corporate services
  • Mortgages and securities
  • Advice on loan documents

We are excited to welcome Alexandra to the team and know that she will be a valuable asset, and continue to deliver our firm’s intent, to help people and change their lives for the better.
