Timothy holds a Diploma in Sports Management from Southern Cross University which he completed prior to starting a Bachelor of Laws at Bond University. Timothy received his Bachelor of Laws in 2017, graduating with two specialisations; General Legal Practice and Corporate and Commercial Law.

He was admitted to the legal profession in 2018. Since being admitted, Timothy has gained valuable experience working across a broad range of litigation matters in Queensland and New South Wales.

Timothy was initially drawn to the legal profession because he intended to practice Sports Law, following the completion of his Diploma in Sports Management. However, after taking a position at a prestigious litigation and insolvency law firm in Brisbane immediately following university, he developed a passion for general litigation and the diversity it offers. There he was involved in disputes before the Supreme Court of Queensland and Federal Court, and it was not uncommon for him to brief junior and senior counsel and run a matter with their guidance.

Timothy’s key practice areas include Sports Law, Building & Construction Disputes, Insolvency, Corporations and Contract Law.

Timothy’s experience in Sports Law has allowed him to assist sporting organisations in preparing contracts for head coaches and players and advising them on current and future liabilities. He has acted for sporting organisations, racing teams and athletes in both transactional and litigation matters.

He has been involved in cases at all levels of the court system, from tribunals up to the Supreme Court in both Queensland and New South Wales.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Timothy ran his own successful plumbing business. His trade background gives him an upper hand, helping him in matters that involve building and construction disputes. He can understand the position of both homeowner and builder and can speak “tradie”, connecting with his clients and working together to achieve their desired outcome.

He is driven to help clients with their legal problems by creating useful solutions within the legal framework. He enjoys helping people resolve their disputes across all areas he practices in.
