Since 2003, Attwood Marshall Lawyers have been proudly supporting the Red Cross Wills Day across the Gold Coast and Tweed Shire communities. Red Cross arrange for members of the public to attend the wills day and have a will done for a specified donation amount to the Red cross (usually $75)*. We provide this service for free and make our staff available to see the clients. All proceeds go to the Red Cross fundraising program which is absolutely vital for the emergency and international work of the Red Cross. These programs also highlight the opportunity to grant a bequest to a charity in your will.
(* Please note, if your Will has detailed provisions that cause complex planning, we may charge you more for the costs of preparing your Will.)
We are extremely proud to be able to help such an important cause in our local community and feel it is a very worthwhile contribution. At the last Wills Day, we provided 4 of our staff to attend the 2-day event and prepared more than 150 wills.
Recently Ian Williamson, the National Bequest Manager for Red Cross, visited our office and presented a Red Cross Certificate of Appreciation.
Here is what Ian had to say:
“Thanks for meeting me yesterday and I repeat Red Cross is extremely grateful for your continued association with us and in particular the support from Debbie, Angela, April and Melissa who at our April Wills day not only coped with a very busy day but with professionalism that were a credit to your firm.
I have travelled throughout Australia with Red Cross and our bequest program and these representatives of Attwood Marshall are without doubt one of the best teams that have helped us.
