Rhiannon Garrett

Rhiannon works within our estate planning team, helping clients document their wishes by drafting Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Appointment of Enduring Guardian documents, and advanced health directives. She also supports our Aged Care department.

Rhiannon holds a Bachelor of Laws LLB from Southern Cross University and Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.

She is currently studying a Masters of Applied Law, majoring in estate planning through the College of Law and is undertaking an extensive training course with Aged Care Steps to become an Accredited Aged Care Professional.

Rhiannon strives to create a safe space for clients to feel comfortable, understanding that discussing succession planning and asset protection strategies with a lawyer can feel stressful and confronting for many people. She finds that the relationships she builds with clients through this process are the most rewarding part of her job.

Rhiannon started working at Attwood Marshall Lawyers when she was just 18 years old, inspired by her father, Legal Practice Director Jeff Garrett. Being part of something Jeff has dedicated his life to building is something she describes as very special, and she is passionate about honouring the firm’s intent of helping people and changing their lives for the better.

Throughout her career, she has worked her way through administration and paralegal roles in a range of departments.

Before moving into Wills and Estates, Rhiannon practiced in Compensation Law across Queensland and New South Wales, with a particular focus on motor vehicle accident claims, public liability and occupiers’ liability claims as well as TPD and income protection claims.

With a keen interest and wealth of hands-on experience with horses, Rhiannon is also well placed to assist with enquiries relating to equine law and thoroughbred breeding and racing matters.
