Attwood Marshall Lawyers welcomes Senior Paralegal Joanne Marino to the Litigation Department

News

We are pleased to expand our litigation team to meet the growing demand in this space, and welcome Joanne Marino to the firm, states Attwood Marshall Lawyers Legal Practice Director Jeff Garrett.

Introduction

We welcome Joanne Marino to our expanding Estate Litigation and Commercial Litigation departments. Joanne joins our team as a Senior Paralegal at a time when we are growing the team to meet demand within this sector.  Enquiries in this space have grown exponentially over the past 12 months, particularly in relation to the issues many people are facing when being involved with Public Trustees around Australia. With more people becoming aware of the Public Trustees failings, people are taking action and exploring their options to remove the Public Trustee from their lives.

In the Commercial Litigation space, we have also seen a significant increase in banking and insurance disputes during the COVID era, as well as building disputes due to the ongoing issues the construction industry is facing.

A growing litigation team needs additional support, which is why creating a new role for an experienced Senior Paralegal was imperative and where Joanne will be extremely valuable in supporting our lawyers and our clients in their matters.

Meet Joanne Marino

Joanne grew up in Lugarno, Sydney. When she was embarking on her professional career, she was enticed to work in Sydney CBD as she loved the city vibe and working in an office environment.

Her vast experience includes a role spanning 12 years in a Sydney CBD law firm as the Head Litigation Senior Secretary and Paralegal.

Joanne boasts over 23 years of experience in all litigation matters including estate litigation, personal injury claims, and family law matters. Throughout her career, she has been able to develop exceptional communication skills and has shown great strength in supporting clients who are navigating some of the most challenging times in their lives. In all that she does, she delivers with integrity and compassion.

Joanne has been living on the Gold Coast for the past 10 years, during which she has worked for both Queensland and New South Wales law firms, building her expertise across both legal jurisdictions.

She strives to help people during difficult times to better their lives, an intent that is shared by Attwood Marshall Lawyers.  For this reason, Joanne knew that this role would be right for her.

Joanne has a positive outlook on healthy work and home life balance. When Joanne is not working, she has a great love for travel, nature and exercise and is often jogging most mornings to capture good energy to start off her day.
