Having graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business, majoring in Management, Laura joined the Attwood Marshall Lawyers Family Law team in 2020.
Laura holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law and is admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland as well as the High Court of Australia.
A career in law appealed to Laura as she likes the complexity and problem-solving side to helping people. She came to Attwood Marshall Lawyers with experience in commercial dispute resolution and property law, but quickly developed a real passion for family law.
Here, she has built up specialist knowledge in divorce, property matters, parenting disputes, financial agreements, child support and matters involving domestic and family violence.
Whereas other practice areas can be more transactional in nature, she finds that family law is all about helping people through what may be one of the most emotional and stressful times in their lives. She enjoys building a rapport with her clients, who may be feeling as if they have hit rock bottom, and guiding them through each stage of the legal process until they are on their feet again.
