Allison Kelly
Allison is a passionate Wills and Estates Associate who has built up a specialism in estate administration.

Allison Kelly joined Attwood Marshall Lawyers in January 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies (majoring in criminal justice and licenced conveyancing) and a Bachelor of Laws from Southern Cross University. She has been admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.

Throughout her legal career, Allison has immersed herself in succession law, working exclusively across estate planning and estate administration matters.

Allison was attracted to the role in estate administration at Attwood Marshall Lawyers because it has a singular focus on this complex area, aligning seamlessly with her interests and expertise.

For Allison, the significance of her role goes beyond legalities. She acknowledges the complexities, emotions, and challenges associated with dealing with death. What sets her apart is the profound impact she makes on people’s lives during their toughest times. Allison takes pride in offering a service that alleviates the stress associated with finalising an estate, enabling families to redirect their energy toward supporting each other and navigating the path of grief and healing.

Estate administration allows Allison to touch on various areas of law, as no two estates are the same. She enjoys the constant challenge that this complex area of law provides.

Her day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Conducting the administration of estates from initiation to closure;
  • Obtaining grants of representation in QLD and NSW;
  • Attending to the collection of estate assets and payment of liabilities;
  • Dealing with real property;
  • Attending to distributions to specific and residuary beneficiaries; and
  • Providing comprehensive advice and guidance to executors and administrators.

Allison’s caring and compassionate nature shines through in the work that she does. She thrives on being a supportive presence for her clients throughout the administration journey.

Witnessing the relief and freedom her clients experience, knowing that they can move on with their lives after going through such a difficult process, is exceptionally rewarding.
