We are excited to announce our move to a larger office space in Brisbane. The expansion will help the firm in its mission to support the growing Brisbane community with all their legal needs, explains Attwood Marshall Lawyers Legal Practice Director, Jeff Garrett.
Brisbane is changing – and quickly.
Over the past few years, Queensland’s capital has experienced significant population growth, increased interstate migration, and strong economic expansion. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Queensland recorded the highest net interstate migration of any Australian state in recent years, with many new residents choosing Southeast Queensland as their home.
At the same time, infrastructure investment and preparations for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games are helping reshape the city’s business landscape, property market, and long-term planning outlook.
With growth comes opportunity, but also increasingly complex legal needs for families, business owners, and property investors navigating change.
It is against this backdrop that Attwood Marshall Lawyers is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for our Brisbane office.
We are moving into larger premises within the same building, allowing us to expand our local operations and better support the Brisbane community with accessible, specialist legal services across all areas of law.
From the end of June, you will find our expanded team on a new floor:
Level 6, Santos Place
32 Turbot Street
Brisbane QLD 4000
“Brisbane is one of Australia’s fastest-evolving cities, and our expansion reflects our long-term commitment to growing alongside the community we serve,” said Jeff Garrett, Legal Practice Director.
“This investment reflects our confidence in Brisbane’s future and our dedication to supporting the people and businesses driving that growth.”
A stronger local presence for a growing city
As Brisbane continues to expand, legal matters are becoming more sophisticated. Property transactions are increasing, businesses are scaling, and families are navigating estate planning and succession issues across multiple jurisdictions.
Our expanded Brisbane office strengthens our ability to provide timely, local support backed by the depth of a full-service law firm.
While clients have always been able to access our entire legal team, we now have a dedicated Brisbane-based presence supporting clients day-to-day, including:
- Melany Dowse, Special Counsel in Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution, assisting businesses and individuals involved in complex disputes, commercial matters and construction disputes;
- Duncan MacDougall, Senior Associate in Estate Litigation, helping families resolve contested estates and succession disputes with clarity and care; and
- Levi Karaitiana, an experienced senior conveyancing paralegal within our Property & Commercial team, guiding clients through buying, selling, and transferring property in a fast-moving market.
Our Brisbane lawyers are supported by senior paralegal Alula Abraha who is also permanently based in the office, ensuring responsive communication and consistent client care throughout every matter.
Importantly, all Attwood Marshall Lawyers practitioners remain available for appointments at our Brisbane office, meaning clients benefit from extensive expertise across every practice area without needing to travel outside the city.
This structure reflects how our firm operates nationally – specialist departments led by experienced practitioners working collaboratively to deliver tailored legal solutions.
Staying connected with the Brisbane community
Our commitment to Brisbane extends well beyond our office doors.
We are also pleased to confirm the renewal of our partnership with 4BC Brisbane in 2026, continuing our weekly segment, Brisbane’s Legal Lowdown, on the Afternoons program with Carla Bignasca.
The program gives listeners practical legal insights and real-world guidance on issues affecting everyday Queenslanders – from property and estate matters to family law, compensation claims, and commercial disputes.
Radio remains one of the most trusted local media platforms for community education, and the segment forms part of our broader commitment to making legal information accessible, understandable, and relevant.
You can listen to our Brisbane lawyers every Wednesday from 2.35pm and call in with any questions live on air.
Supporting Brisbane’s future
Brisbane’s growth is expected to continue over the coming decade, supported by ongoing infrastructure investment and sustained population increases across Southeast Queensland.
For individuals and businesses alike, periods of growth often bring important decisions: purchasing or selling property, expanding operations, planning for the future, or protecting family wealth across generations.
Our new premises and growing Brisbane team position us to support clients through these milestones with the experience and specialist knowledge that have guided our firm for decades.
We are excited to continue building relationships within the Brisbane community and to play a small part in supporting the city’s next phase of growth.
