The Attwood Marshall Lawyers Caulfield Cup Raceday at the Gold Coast Turf Club on October 19, 2019, was a great success, with money being raised for the National Jockeys Trust (NJT).
Our 110 guests celebrated the annual day in The Boardroom alongside honoured speakers – Australia’s first licenced female jockey Pam O’Neil OAM and NJT Chief Executive Paul Inness.
The day was dedicated to raising funds for jockeys who are unable to ride due to injury or illness, with Pam and Paul sharing remarkable stories of NJT’s input into the racing community.
Dan Griffin’s comeback to the track after a horrific three-horse fall illustrated the importance of the NJT, who pay bills and provide chaplaincy for jockeys in their hour of need.
For Attwood Marshall Lawyers, the NJT’s cause is particularly close to heart.
Among our specialised thoroughbred legal services for the racing community, our experienced thoroughbred legal department acts for injured jockeys in compensation and civil claims.
With the 2019 race day complete, we look forward to our sponsorship of the Caulfield Cup at the Gold Coast Turf Club for the next two years, where will continue to support the NJT.
In the meantime, Attwood Marshall Lawyers will be hosting complimentary events for breeders, horse owners and trainers, to provide information about our legal services.
