Larisa joined Attwood Marshall Lawyers in 2014. She graduated from Bond University in 2012, having been awarded with Juris Doctor in Law with Honours, and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2013.

Larisa specialises in estate planning and preparing specialised Wills and enduring powers of attorney and guardian documents. She has a particular interest in testamentary trusts and special disability trusts for families with children who have additional needs.

With a degree in Psychology and training as a Grief and Loss Counsellor, Larisa is especially sensitive to the needs of her clients, allowing her to provide exceptional and compassionate services. She prides herself on her empathy and social skills.

Larisa has a particular affinity with the firm’s older and infirmed clients. She has always had an interest in helping the elderly with estate planning as well as helping them transition to aged care.

Her goal is to make the legal process as simple as possible for clients, by offering them advice and support and making sure they understand each decision throughout their legal journey.

She was drawn to a career in law after seeing the experiences of her family members who after migrating to Australia struggled to navigate seemingly simple legal processes due to their limited English. As a teenager she became aware that too many people in her migrant community were winding up with terrible results because they hadn’t understood a legal process or signed papers the right way. Too often, their anxiety around the legal system meant they avoided lawyers or froze up around them – with the knock-on effect that they weren’t getting the help they required.

She is determined to always be a lawyer who is approachable and can help anyone.

Larisa is passionate about ensuring people get the right legal advice regardless of their race, their language barriers or what socio-economic demographic they come from.

She is fluent in English, Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian.
